Foundation and Affiliation:
St. Joseph School, established in 1736, is situated in Mount Lebanon. It operates under the auspices of the Lebanese Maronite Order and is a member of the Catholic school network. Additionally, the school is associated with UNESCO, reflecting its commitment to international educational standards.
Location and Demographics:
The school is located in the Mtein region of Mount Lebanon, at an altitude of 1074 meters above sea level. This mountainous area is predominantly inhabited by Christians. The local population primarily consists of farmers and self-employed individuals, particularly in the construction sector. During the winter months, most residents migrate to the coast.
Educational Scope:
St. Joseph School caters to 160 students, ranging from kindergarten to the third grade.
School Projects and Governance:
The school is currently engaged in a comprehensive three-year project, overseen by a dedicated steering committee. This committee is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of both educational projects and operational activities.
